Storybook Circus Mural Gets a Vibrant Makeover at Magic Kingdom
The iconic mural on the side of the Storybook Circus train station at Magic Kingdom has been given a colorful refresh. This outdoor artwork, exposed to the elements, has faded over time due to sun exposure and weather conditions. But now, it's been given a new lease of life with brighter, more vivid colors.
The mural showcases beloved Disney characters, including Goofini (Goofy), Dumbo, Casey Jr., Pete, and Humphrey, all set against a charming map of the mini-land. It's a delightful scene that has been enhanced with the recent update. For comparison, check out the previous version of the mural, which featured Donald and Daisy, when their meet-and-greets were held in front of it (https://wdwnt.com/2026/01/minnie-goofy-donald-daisy-meet-greets-move-outside-magic-kingdom/).
The mural's refresh is likely tied to the recent changes in the meet-and-greet area. The Pete’s Silly Sideshow tent, which usually hosts the characters, is currently closed for a major refurbishment (https://wdwnt.com/2026/01/roof-removed-from-petes-silly-sideshow-during-refurbishment/). As a result, Minnie and Goofy are now meeting guests at the front of Storybook Circus, with their meet-and-greets starting around 10 a.m. daily.
